About Kate:
Kate first began practising yoga in 2006 and after two years of yoga teacher training at the Bath Iyengar Yoga Centre with Richard and Kirsten Ward, she qualified as an Introductory Level 2 Iyengar yoga teacher in 2017. Over the next two years, she continued her yoga teacher training at home in Cornwall with Judith Van Dop and qualified as a Junior Intermediate Level 1 Iyengar yoga teacher in 2019. Kate has always had a love of learning and continually develops her knowledge and experience in both practising and teaching yoga through ongoing training. Following her Iyengar yoga teacher training, she has completed her Yin Yoga teacher training, trained in teen yoga and will be completing her Vinyasa yoga teacher training later this year.
Kate has been teaching weekly yoga classes in both the Tate Gallery St Ives and the Carbis Bay Hotel for the past seven years. She also teaches yoga as part of the Carbis Bay Hotel’s coastal wellbeing retreats.
Kate made the transition into yoga teaching from being a primary school teacher. She has a calm, positive teaching style and she loves to share and learn about the practice of yoga with all who come to her classes.
